Shelley Guiley serves as Managing Director, Deputy Chief Operating Officer at MFA.
Shelley joined MFA after spending thirteen years in the private equity industry. Most recently, she served as Senior Advisor to Hunter Point Capital, a GP Stakes firm, from 2021-2023 where she worked with the Strategic Value Group on their investor relations and fundraising initiatives. Prior to that, Shelley served as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Fundraising at The Carlyle Group Inc., a private equity, alternative asset management and financial services company.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Shelley was a Senior Vice President and the Director of Investor Relations at Allied Capital Corporation. She has also worked at Capital One Financial Corporation and Price Waterhouse LLP.
Shelley earned her B.S. in Commerce from The University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
